In our connected society it can be hard to 'turn off' work, to completely leave it behind at the end of the day. However, time away from work is essential to good productivity. We need to recharge and refresh, and if your home life is anything like mine you still have lots to take care of besides your job. For me, having a firm cut-off time every day when I log out of email/work activities helps me meet all my obligations at home and at work. If I know I have to leave at 4:30 I tend not to waste any time at work, and then when I get home I know I can enjoy time with my family since I've gotten my work done.
